About Us

1st Whitton Scout Group was first registered in 1927 and has been an important part of the local community ever since. As part of Richmond upon Thames District, we welcome youngsters from Whitton, Hounslow, Twickenham and beyond.

Children can join from the age of six and then take part in an active, fun and friendly programme right through until they are twenty-five. Not that they leave then, as proven by our younger leaders, who are happy to stay with us and pass on the skills that they have learned along the way. It’s never too late to join, we regularly welcome youngsters and adults of all ages.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
